Breath Presence is another name for breath awareness, which is the simplest tool for fully tuning into how your body is actually feeling in the present moment, here and now. As soon as you put your attention on your breath, your focus naturally shifts from the outside world (and any thoughts you may have about it), into the inner world of your body.

Try this little practice:

Focus your attention for a minute or even just for a few moments on your breathing without wanting to change its natural rhythm in any ways. Just simply notice as you are breathing in and out. Observe it.

You can repeat this anytime during your day. For example, when you are waiting somewhere, or brushing your teeth and so on.

If you have more time, you can expand this exercise with the following:

Notice the quality of your breath.

- Is it deep/shallow, quick/slow, short/ long?

- Do you breathe deep into your abdomen area only/ into your chest only? Or maybe into both?

Follow with your attention the path of the air as you inhale and exhale. Notice the movements of your body as you breathe.

What parts of your body/ which organs can you feel touched and moved by the air as you breathe?

Since you can only breathe in the present moment (neither in the past, nor in the future), when you become aware of your breath, you immediately get in touch with life flowing through you.

This helps you to get to know yourself deeper.
